Creating an Account
Before you can use PensionGold Web Member Services, you must have an active account set up.
To set up an account:
- Select the Create an Account option on the top portion of the screen. The Create an Account – Step 1 screen appears.
- Enter the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
- Enter your last name.
- Enter your birth date in this format: 01/15/1950. Note: You do NOT have to type in the slashes; they appear automatically.
- Enter the first five digits of your zip code. If your home is outside the United States, enter 99999.
- Click the Continue button. The Create an Account – Step 2 screen appears.
- Enter your email address. This will be your Username in the system. This field is NOT case sensitive.
- Re-enter your e-mail address by typing it again into the Confirm Email field.
- Enter your new password in the Password field. Strong passwords must have a minimum of eight characters and contain at least one character from three of these groups: uppercase, lowercase, number, or operator (@~#$^()_+=-!,.?'). Passwords are case sensitive.
- Confirm the password by retyping it in the Confirm Password field.
- Select or create an Authentication Question 1 from the list provided. This will be used if you forget your password.
- Enter the answer to the Authentication Question 1. This can be anything you want and will be used if you forget your password. You will be asked your Authentication Question in the password request process and, if you answer it correctly using what you enter here, you will be sent your password via e-mail.
- Repeat steps 11 and 12 for Authentication Questions/Answers 2 and 3.
- Read the Terms and Conditions of service, then check the checkbox.
- Click the Create Account button to process your account creation.
- If everything was entered correctly, you will get a message confirming your account and you may then enter Web Member Services by entering your Username and Password.
- If there were errors in the information you entered, a message will display indicating what the problem is and you will need to return to the account setup screen to make corrections.
